Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes. It is about 3 hours drive from Hanoi.
Ha Long Bay is scenic and beautiful. The water is surprisingly calm and clear. I can even spot jellyfishes in the water. I cruised through all the popular spots in the bay in a magnificent junk. The captain dropped anchor and we went swimming. I tried kayaking too. It was so fun although tiring. We kayaked into secluded little coves and have a whale of time!!
